Many phones bought in the USA — especially through AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon or other carriers — are carrier locked. They work perfectly on the original network, but in India an Airtel, Jio, Vi or BSNL SIM shows “SIM not supported”, “Invalid SIM” or “Emergency calls only”. The phone is fine; it is simply restricted to one carrier.
How to know if your phone is carrier locked
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock. “No SIM restrictions” means unlocked.
- Samsung / Pixel: an Indian SIM shows “Network locked” or asks for an unlock code; some models show a carrier “Network unlock” app.
- The phone works on Wi-Fi but never shows signal bars with an Indian SIM.
What we check before any unlock
Not every phone can be unlocked the same way, so we always check the device first and tell you honestly what is possible:
- IMEI and model — the exact variant and original carrier
- Carrier / SIM-lock status
- iCloud / Google account status — activation locks are tied to the owner’s account and are not something we remove
- Warranty and whether the device is original or a replaced unit
Only after this check do we give you the price and expected time. If an unlock is not possible for your device, we tell you before taking any money.
Which phones we support
We regularly network-unlock iPhone 15, 16 and 17 series, Samsung Galaxy S and Fold series, Google Pixel 6 to 10 and many Motorola models, for USA, UK, Canada, Japan and European carriers. Once unlocked, the phone works with Indian SIMs and also abroad. We can also help with eSIM to physical SIM conversion on supported models.
Genuine owners only
Unlocking is for people who own the phone — for example a phone bought abroad, gifted by family, or used during studies or work in another country. We ask for proof of ownership, such as the purchase bill or box with matching IMEI. We do not work on lost, stolen or account-locked devices.
Is unlocking permanent?
A proper carrier unlock is permanent: the phone stays unlocked after software updates and factory resets. We test calls, SMS and mobile data with a local SIM before handing it back.
